Arcana 3 is abundance and growth, and specifically the conversion of potential into something that exists and can be used.
The word people reach for is nurturing, which is right and incomplete — it makes the number sound softer than it is. Arcana 3 is substantially about capacity. Provision is work, and the Empress is not resting.
It is the most materially oriented of the low numbers. Three is interested in what can be touched, fed, grown, given. An idea matters to arcana 3 once it has become something.
