Arcana 7 is directed force — two things that would pull apart, held together and made to move the same way. It is the arcana of arriving, and of what that costs.

What arcana 7 means
The card shows a figure holding two animals that would go in different directions if released. The point is not the vehicle. The point is that opposing forces are being held and driven.
That is the character of the number, and it is more strained than it looks. Arcana 7 is not naturally unified — it contains a real tension and functions by mastering it. Arcana 4 builds a structure that then holds itself up; arcana 7 holds itself up.
It is also the arcana of sustaining. Where arcana 1 begins and stops there, arcana 7 keeps going long past the point where the original impulse has worn off, and it gets there.
Two things it is not. Not aggression — the force is directed, and the direction is the point. And not confidence; a great deal of arcana 7’s drive is powered by the tension it is holding rather than by certainty.

In your Core Essence
Resting means having something to move toward. Progress is the default state, and genuine stillness is uncomfortable in a way that is hard to explain to people whose Core Essence works differently. Projects that would die under someone else get finished, because finishing is not a decision here. Under pressure it accelerates — more effort along the current line, which is often right, which is why the times it is wrong are hard to catch.

You read as capable and moving. People assume competence before evidence, and put you in charge of the difficult version rather than the easy one. The cost is that momentum does not signal need — nobody offers help to someone who appears to be handling it, and the appearance does not change when the handling gets hard.

The limitation is that effort is not always the variable: a wrong strategy does not become right with more hours, and this position’s instinct is to supply the hours.

The middle of a project — where most people lose interest and quietly stop — is not difficult for you, and the gap between what you complete and what others complete is larger than you think. More, when more is wrong — increased effort along a wrong line just gets you further from where you wanted to be. Momentum as avoidance: motion is comfortable, so there is never the stationary moment in which you would notice the direction. Suppression mistaken for control — the two animals are held, not reconciled, and held-in-check has a long-run cost. Driving over people, because a pace comfortable for you is punishing for others and invisible from inside it. And no stopping mechanism: most people stop when it gets too hard; if that signal is weak, nothing else says when.
